Our history

We’ve been manufacturing washers and gaskets since 1822

Established in 1822 R & J Williams (Kent) Ltd was a wood turning business until a leather cup was installed in a village pump meaning less human effort was required to get water.

From that, the wood working lathes were then used for making the cup leathers. As time went on increased uses of leather were found. The business then progressed and expanded using more specific cutting machines and several types of materials, allowing us to grow to where the company is today.
